Founded in 2010: Denver, Colorado
Founded in 2010 by the husband and wife team of Roy Katz and Tanya Fleisher, Winter Session designs and manufactures a full range of functional, high quality, unisex canvas and leather carry goods.
Their small team of artisans utilizes traditional craft techniques like hand stitching and beveling and newer technologies like laser cutting and industrial machine sewing to produce the entire Winter Session product range in their own storefront workshop in Denver, CO.
Combining functionality, durability, and visual appeal, their bags, wallets, cases, and wearables have a refined utilitarian aesthetic. They’re accessories that work with you and for you, and look great while doing so. Winter Session makes things that you can — and will want to — depend on for years to come.
A DAY IN THE LIFE AT WINTER SESSION: PHOTOS BY BRAD TORCHIA
A couple of months ago, our friend and talented Denver-based photographer Brad Torchia stopped by the workshop to capture a day in the life at Winter Session. A lot happens in our cozy workspace, from cutting, sewing, leatherwork and assembly to product photography and impromptu visits with friends and customers. Without further adieu, this is what our typical day looks like.
Our bikes line the sidewalk just across from where the light rail runs past our door on Welton Street. We get to work right away with the help of some of our favorite tools, including our classy donut mascot.
